Jakarta Standard Tag Library 3.0
Release for Jakarta EE 10
Jakarta Standard Tag Library encapsulates as simple tags the core functionality common to many Web applications.
Jakarta Standard Tag Library has support for common, structural tasks such as iteration and conditionals, tags
for manipulating XML documents, internationalization tags, and SQL tags. It also provides a framework for integrating
existing custom tags with Jakarta Standard Tag Library tags.
New features, enhancements or additions
- Issue #144 Rename Tag URIs to ‘jakarta.tags.*’
- Issue #156 Update Jakarta Tags to Java 11
- Issue #157 Add JPMS Module Info Class
- Issue #149 Remove dependency on XML Binding from the API pom
- Update tagdocs to include EFSL
- Update tlddoc generation to support jakarta.
- General specification document cleanup.
Removals, deprecations or backwards incompatible changes
- Removal of deprecated methods if any exist and are removed.
- Rename java.sun.com taglib URIs to new jakarta.tags.* URNs.
- Still allow java.sun.com taglib URIs to be used
